In fact he love to interact with people that he knows and trusts. He may seem stand-offish to anyone he doesn't know and he is downright nasty to those that he dislikes. |

Lonkan was born into a semi-rich family, where his parents, both unjoined Trills, tried their hardest to push Lonkan into getting joined. He went along with it when he was young, but wanted more for his life.
He wanted to make something more for himself, like his older friend who ended up joining Starfleet. However, his parents made sure he knew that wasn't a choice. So he went along with their plan for him and enrolled in Trill University when he was 18.
However when he was twenty, he met a recruiting officer from Starfleet and without his parents knowing he enlisted. When his term at the University was over, he packed his things and with the chagrin of his parents, shipped out to Earth to go through his training.
Lonkan took a double enlistment as Flight Operations and Security, after going through Basic Training. He went through both schools doing the best he could and has now graduated and is waiting assignment.
Lonkan is unjoined, but is not totally against the idea of being joined. He just wanted to live his own life.
