| Psychological Profile | Little is known to date of the races of Frei'Kinna or their psychology. Naturalized citizens such as Jannara provide valuable information, but there are less than 4 dozen other such citizens to date.
From a strictly human point of view, Jannara would be diagnosed as a sociopath with acute psychotic tendencies. From observation and interviews, however, this is the norm for her race. The Frei'Ahl have the ability to suspend emotions or create whatever emotions are necessary to complete a task, despite personal cost or pain. This makes a Jannara highly desirable as a soldier in most conditions. Jannara has had difficulties when her orders conflict with what she considers a necessary or proper course of action. This nearly lead to a court martial in 2364.
Jannara carries a burden of deep-seated anger and torment over her Banishment from her homeworld almost a century ago. There are no details on record concerning the crimes resulting in this punishment, and Jannara herself refuses to divulge this information.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1. Coloura: This is a unique phot-luminescent effect in the skin of Frei'Ahls. Coloura is seen in the UV spectrum in the Kyen, visible light in the Barl, and IR in the Mor. The Coloura is activated by touch, loud noise (exceeding 110 dBa), and chemical changes such as strong emotions, hunger, fatigue, etc. Being sensitive to chemicals, the color of the Coloura can tell something of the state of the person at the time, but the colors are not necessarily the same from one individual to another. A flush of pink may indicate extreme anger in one, and hunger in another. Coloura is often multi-colored.
2. Gills: The Frie'Ahns evolved as an aquatic species. Approximately 75% of the population are born with workable gills. They are not 100% effective, however, and can only be used for a short period of time, up to an hour under moderate exercise. The gills are located to either side of the spine and remain closed until the skin is immersed in water for several minutes.
3. Secondary Vision: Another Frei'Ahl trait is the ability to "see" sound. It is believed to be comparable to echo-location used by Terran aquatic mammals. Jannara possesses this trait, and has developed it to a high degree. It has saved her life more than once. This trait is seen in perhaps 20% of the Frei'Ahl population.
