Mark David Montgomery was born to Anthony and Barbara Montgomery on the 10th day of March 2347, in Booragoon, New South Whales, Australia, Earth. Mark along with his older siblings Brother, Adam James, and Sister Amanda Rae, lived there until August 15 2350, when he and his family moved to Houston Texas.

Mark began School in September of 2353. Mark's school career was more academic than most students. His scoring marks were above average and maintained Honor Roll Status through out his primary education term. Once into University, Mark discovered Piriese Squares, and went on to play on the School Team.

Mark began his studies of Warp Propulsion Systems after he began attending The University of Houston's Plasma Physics course in 2365. It was then that he decided that he was to put his skills to use on a Starship. He studied constantly, holding a 4.0 average in Quantum Mathematics, Plasma Physics, Molecular Chromotology, and Subspace Geometry.

In 2368, while playing at a University game, Mark was injured by another player. The opposing teams' well known Team Captain had knocked Mark off his feet. Mark was taken off the court when it was discovered that he had 3 broken ribs. He insisted on playing out the rest of the game, and he went on to help the team win the game. The Physicians declared that there were no other injuries and that there were to be no long term difficulties to suffer from.

In 2370, while reading some old reports on Anomalous Warp Behavior, Mark stumbled across a document by a former Star Fleet Engineer from an old Constitution Class Starship. As he read on he became more and more intrigued by the fact that, at the correct velocity and trajectory, one could effectively slip into a "Time Warp Effect" and emerge in a different Timeframe. He began a class late in his scholastic career that he ended up claiming his minor in. Temporal Mechanics. In this course he maintained a 2.5 average due to the fact that he had joined it late in the year.

During this time, he met Gaia. The daughter of the Kreosian Ambassador to The Federation. She was studying Medicine at the academy. The Two were inseprable, much to the dismay of her Father, who later was successful in separating the two lovers. Ambassador Gerros had confronted Mark in the Student Square one afternoon. He knew of Mark's plans to propose to His Daughter while they were on vacation on Mars.

Ambassador Gerros told Mark that Gaia was keeping a secret from him, She was in fact an Empathic Metamorph, one who can sense the thoughts of a potential mate, and augment themselves to become more desirable to them. Struck by this, and with a small push from the ambassador, Mark began to feel that Gaia was trying to trap him for some reason. He then changed his plans, and left for Mars with several of his friends instead. Hoping never to see Her again.

While on leave from school, Mark and some friends traveled to Mars. It was is in 2372, and while on final approach, Mark caught a long look and Utopia Planitia. For some reason he could not stay away from the view port. There was something about the way it looked against the Martian backdrop. He felt a knot in his stomach and he knew that one day, He would be doing that kind of work.

He and his friends stayed on Mars for 3 weeks. During that time He had met the one person how he would be idealizing for quite some time. While on his way to meet a schoolmate for lunch one afternoon, He accidentally bumped into a woman who was carrying a large PADD, knocking the PADD from her hands and onto the street. Being polite, he bent down to pick it up. As he did so he noticed that the data being displayed was Warp Propulsion Schematics for the Galaxy Class Starship.

Being a student of Warp Propulsion, Mark gulped noisily as he slowly began to stand. As he opened his eyes, he almost fainted, because there before him was none other than Dr. Leiah Brahms. The person who designed the Matter/Anti-Matter Reaction Assembly for the Galaxy Class Project. Sure that was almost 10 years ago, but the work that she had done was astounding! And here he was standing there speechless, gripping the PADD in his hands with a white-knuckle grip.

When She finally spoke to him he snapped out of his state-of-shock, but not before he was able to understand what she had said. Mark took this opportunity to introduce himself, and to let her know that he knew exactly who she was. With this She accepted Marks invitation for lunch at a Martian Replimat. They both talked for hours about their one thing in common... "Making things go, FAST!"

Mark graduated 43rd in a class of 1600 in June of 2374. Afterwards Mark returned to his home with his Mother and Father. Wanting to put his knowledge to use, after great consideration, Mark decided to enlist into the Star Fleet Core of Engineers in mid 2375. Soon after that moment, He was assigned to the USS-Heroic Registry 99800. However before he could report for duty, the Heroic was destroyed by a Quantum Singularity. He now awaits the arrival of a new vessel also named USS-Heroic.

After the Heroic's CO, Cdr. Calm McGuinness, mysteriously fell into a coma, Mark, being the senior officer on the ship, assumed command. On Stardate: 49912.22.0434, He took the ship to Deepspace 10 to recrew and repair, and to await the next mission. It was there that Gaia came back into his life. She was stationed on the station as CMO, and when a bomb went off during a luncheon with he station's command staff, both Federation and Cardassian, She arrived to tend to the injured.

On Stardate: 50003.10.1245, The Heroic seemed to be hit by some kind of energy field. This proved fatal to the ship and 87 members of his crew. Mark spent several months in recovery from this experience, and with the help of his new wife, Cdr. Gaia Montgomery M.D., Starfleet felt that he had recovered enough to be cleared for active duty.

The Heroic's wreckage was discovered by Chief Petty Officer Rory Lorcan O'Garrach Terrell, on Stardate 50009.23.0306. mark was alerted to this immediately afterwards by a coded Subspace communiqué, that also contained sensor records from the ship at the time of the incident. The nature of these records has not been revealed, they were removed from the system when the message was received. It is suspected that he carries them on an Isolinear Chip.

By Stardate: 50011.27.2035, Mark was ready for active duty. Though still troubled by his Failure as Commanding Officer, He accepted a position as Executive Officer onboard the USS Frontier. He was to rendezvous with it at Deepspace 10, but the ship never arrived.

Mark has spent sever months on the station, keeping in contact with his wife, and examining the wreckage of the Heroic. Currently he is awaiting reassignment.
