HISTORY
Natalia was born in the winter of 2456. Her mother is a housewife, but has never paid much attention to Natalia. The woman always claimed that Natalia was not pretty enough to bother with. Kurt, her father, is a research physicist. Natalia followed his footsteps, and shared his admiration of strong discipline. She was schooled in the public education system, and by her father, until she went to Nizhniy Novgorod Military School at ten. There she earned the thick white scars on her hands. In a hazing, she and several of her new classmates were forced to endure severe cuts without crying out. Natalia never made a sound. She chose to let the wounds heal normally, and scar, as a reminder to herself of her willpower.
Upon graduation from Nizhniy Novgorod at sixteen, Natalia enrolled in the Academy Affiliate in Moscow. She concentrated on engineering and physics, and minored in mathematics. Throughout the four years, she was warned by many counselors that few captains would put up with her strong-willed attitude. Natalia became cold and outwardly very controlled. Her friends would often tease her, trying to break her control. It never flickered.
After graduation from the Academy, Natalia served on Starbase 375 for six months as an engineering officer. She chose to leave for ship duty to further her goals to explore the universe. As luck, or fate, would have it, she was placed on the USS Firestorm. She took the USS Pendragon from the starbase to DS10 to await the return of her new ship.
