HISTORY
Born on the outbound colony of Muir Prime, John was exposed to humanity at an early age. As he grew up he often identified with his childhood heroes, Starfleet officers. Always his thoughts were on the brave men and women of Starfleet, exploring the galaxy and experiencing starnge new mysteries. John was one of those children who was never able to go fast enough or far enough. When he was learning to crawl he was pushing himself to walk, when he was walking he was pushing to run, and when he was running he was pushing to fly.
John joined Starfleet Academy as soon as he could, and he accelerated through his courses with great zeal. He was soon involved in Starfleet's research into trans-warp technologies and other theoretical projects that involved faster-than-warp breakthroughs. He was a principle researcher on the "Grand Experiment," the trans-warp drive developed for the Excelsior Class. His disappointment over that experiments failure nearly made him quit Starfleet.
John's career was on standby for a number of years, until Project Darkwater was created. He and other top rated researchers and scientist were recruited to study the various circumstances of disappearances of ships, displacements in time/space, cross dimensional travel and other like phenomena. John was in his element once again and his career was revived.
When the experimental starship, the USS Atlantis, disappeared, John was called in to help the crew of the USS Angelica in their search efforts. As a bonus, the USS Angelica was equipped with a new device that would enable the ship to cross dimensional boundries. Although the search mission was a failure, and the USS Angelica suffered great damage, John was now hailed as a leading technical expert in his field of study. Not long afterwards he was requested to be the Chief Science Officer aboard the USS Firestorm.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
John has developed a lasting friendship with fellow officer Lt. Storil while serving together on the Angelica. Storil is now serving on the USS Banshee, but the two men enjoy comparing notes and playing tri-tier chess over sub-space.
