| Religion | Bajoran Religion (Prophets of the Celestial Temple), Non-practicing |
| Psychological Profile |
Stephen is much like any other commanding officer, focusing on the
objectives of his assignment and trying to avoid losing crewmembers. Through
his assignment on the Omnicron, Stephen saw friends and crewmates perish
in the line of combat; while he has become accustomed to the feeling of
helplessness and guilt associated with the loss, he still tries to avoid
losing members of his crew.
Stephen's mother was a refuge from Bajor, which was then occupied by
the Cardassian Union. Due to the Occupation and the circumstances which
found her seperated from her people, Thalasa imparted her hatred of the
Cardassians onto her son. However, after the Firestorm was stationed at
the Cardassian-run space station Terok Lon (Deep Space Ten), Stephen managed
to set aside some of that prejudice towards Cardassians. However, he still
holds the Occupation against the Cardassian people.

| 01 November 2336: | Stephen Polaron is born onboard the USS Roanoke, an Ambassador-class starship, to a human father and a Bajoran mother. His mother, Thalasa Relina, was a refuge from the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor, and his father, Michael Polaron, was the Chief Science Officer of the Roanoke. |
| 06 March 2340: | Stephen's younger sister, Thalasa Polaron, is born. |
| 11 September 2341: | Stephen begins his primary education through the educational facilities aboard the USS Roanoke |
| 11 September 2347: | Michael Polaron transfers off the Roanoke to a Starbase in the Alpha Centuri system, taking his family along with him for his new assignment aboard the large space-bound facility. |
| 15 September 2347: | Stephen gets involved with a local Scouting troop, and begins learning the secrets of the Scouting movement. He discovers quickly that Scouting has been around since Earth's 20th century, almost 400 years. And while the actual scouting program had been changed throughout the years, the principles still remained the same. |
| 15 January 2351: | Stephen is elected to a leadership position within his scouting Troop by his fellow scouts, and quickly discovers how much he enjoys being a leader. |
| 24 March 2353: | Stephen completes the requirements for the prestigeous Eagle Scout award, and is presented the award in a formal ceremony. |
| 08 June 2354: | Stephen completes his education at the Starbase's educational facilities, and takes up an internship aboard the starbase as an engineer. |
| 13 August 2354: | Only three days before he is scheduled to begin his internship, his father is mysteriously killed aboard the starbase. At the same time, numerous glitches threatened to destroy the starbase, which is determined to be the result of sabotage. It has yet to be determined if these two events are connected to one another. |
| 17 June 2358: | Stephen decides to further his leadership skills by putting in an application to Starfleet Academy through their Command College program, originally run by Captain Hikaru Sulu prior to the launch of the USS Excelsior. |
| 15 July 2362: | Stephen graduates from Command College, and is assigned as an assistant engineer aboard the USS Pangea, NCC-34214, an Ambassador-class starship under the command of Captain Richard Leftwich. |
| 29 December 2364: | The USS Pangea is destroyed in action while investigating a mysterous void near the edge of Federation space. Polaron is the sole surviver of the incident, and his recollection of events is cloudy. He is then assigned to a Mirdanda-class starship, the USS Saratoga |
| 12 January 2367: | Stephen is transferred off the Saratoga to serve on the USS Omnicron, an experimental starship that was testing new technology to deal with the threat of the Borg after the USS Enterprise-D encountered a lone Borg vessel in 2365. |
| Stardate: 44001.4 (2367): | The Omnicron's experimental technology fails, and at the same time a Borg cube approaches Earth, and is intercepted at Worf 359. The result is a massacre; the Borg destroys a total of 37 Federation starships. The Omnicron avoids combat with the Borg so that their research can be used to build better weapons to defend against the Borg in the future. |
| 2372: | The Borg once again make an attempt to assimilate Earth, and this time fewer ships are destroyed. The Omnicron is damaged in the attack, in which the Borg cube is eventually defeated by the arrival of the Enterprise-E. After a month-long refit, the Omnicron returns to active duty. |
| December 2372: | Stephen learns that his mother had been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Stephen takes time off from his duties aboard the Omnicron to visit his mother, but Thalasa dies before he arrives at the starbase. |
| 2373: | War breaks out between the Dominion and the Federation. The Omnicronis stationed along the Federation/Cardassian boarder, and Polaron is promoted to first officer of the Omnicron. Later, during the assault to retake space station Deep Space Nine, the Omnicron is destroyed, and Polaron is among the few survivors. Stephen is diagnosed with a mild depression, and takes a leave of absence for six months before transferring to Utopia Planitia to oversee the construction of several starships, most of which are Steamrunner-class vessels. |
| December 2374: | Stephen's team at Utopia Planitia is assigned to refit a Steamrunner-class vessel for a long range investigation into the disappearance of an Excelsior II-class vessel. Later, Polaron's team finds that their current project, the USS Firestorm, had a faulty Auxilary Plasma Coupling in the Deflector array, the coupling nearly destroying the ship. |
| SD: 49901.12.1643 | Polaron assumes command of the Steamrunner-class USS Firestorm |
Captain Polaron's younger sister, formerly stationed aboard the USS Lexington, was transferred to a remote science outpost after she is discovered assisting the Maquis. Thalasa is also looking after Fido, Stephen's canine pet; which is serving as one of Thalasa's only friends aboard the remote space station.
