| Psychological Profile |
The two things that affected her the most were the deaths of her youngling son and my lifemate. The year of her First Strike (initiation to adulthood), she took a mate. They were both 25 standard years old, but had no eggs until the 5th year of our bond. The clutch was particularly small and the one that hatched was very weak and died before his first Hatchingday. She was torn with grief, not only for her son, but also for herself; as it appeared that after all she had done to hone her skills and be the best she could be, she was substandard. No one else she had ever known has had the same experience as she had....all had clutches soon in the bond and several younglings per Hatching. She could not understand what was wrong with her. It took 2 year's time to assuage her grief, as well as many long discussions with Kaandra, her Elder relative, and her mother and lifemate. Then in the next year, her lifemate was killed in a hunt. He struck too soon and the quarry kicked his head. At least he did not suffer... It has since been 4 years, and she still has not fully recovered. It is one of her hopes (and of her family's too) that her career in the Fleet will help keep her mind on her duty so she can deal with her pain. |
| Hobbies | Hunting, reading, and artistry (particularly in clay sculpture and ink drawings with her claws) |
| Other Information |
In her social structure, there is no dominant gender, so she would have equal footing with all others except the Elders. They are at least 225 years old and are revered, as those who have survived as long as that have earned the respect of all others. Therefore, all authorities are treated with the utmost respect by her. She is also very disciplined, as it requires such to survive in the desertland of Kadur. |
HISTORY
Until her tenth year, she was totally dependent upon her parents. Beginning in her eleventh year, she was trained in the Art of the Hunt and in the ways of her people. She learned to refine her artistic skills and interact with others, especially the Elders, who required a more formal speech due to the respect they are given. She had to memorize all the names of the local Elders as well as the High Elder (the oldest of the Elders), and know them by sight and smell. This learning continued until her 25th year, when younglings are allowed First Strike at a kill. She was successful her first try (her blow even killed the prey), and so did not have to wait another year to try again. She took a mate that year, as was her choice: a strong and fast male with loving yet feral eyes. They became very close, but never had much reproductive success (see Psych. Profile). The species had begun to send certain young adults to the Academy for further training, so because of her superb talents, willing disposition, and her need for a way to heal her emotional wounds, the Elders chose her to be one of the few to go that year. As she began to be absorbed in other duties, her grief eventually faded, but she is by no means recovered fully yet. She graduated from the Academy with slightly above average marks and spent her year of internship on a cadet ship. She was chosen for the Firestorm partly because of her people's mission to learn and be learned about by the races of the universe; the Firestorm has many rare and unique species she can study and communicate with, and she hopes to find true friends there to help her sort out her problems.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The four spines on the back of her head reflect her emotional state: when she's sad, they go down, and when she's happy, they go up. When she's mad or scared, they go straight up.
